Php / html for shopping cart pages

www.publichardware.com/instock and www.publichardware/custom-orders
when I created the instock page it automatically told me I needed to change it to php.
when I created the custom order page (even had the shopping cart on it) I put it in php format and I got a message saying it needed to be changed to html format. I went ahead an changed it back to php but will it work on html format?

The shop works with php without problem. It is needed for stock items, but without it will work as well.
HTML shop pages will only work without stock available quantity.
But it's better to use html if you don't use stock availability. (this has slightlu better compatibility on older browsers and operating systems.)
