Automatic registration

Hi,
How does Automatic registration work? I know I need to setup a database with my hosting provider but I need to know how it works. I wish to use it in a website but I need control over who I grant access to and as the name suggests they are automaticly registered (which I do not want). I would like to approve access to whoever applys before they gain access is this possible?

Hello William
Users can register themselves. That will say they can "deliver" the data needed.
But before the user can do anything you have to "approve" them.
And you have to re-upload.

Hi Elisa, thanks for the links they helped a lot. I have managed to sort out most of my problems but having trouble with updating users who register online. I have submitted a separate question related to this.
