Google says my site maybe hacked  en

When you google my site it says it maybe hacked. I looked at googles ways to fix it but not sure how to proceed. Any help would be great. Been working on this site for a while now and this is the last main issue I need to correct. The site has not been hacked and there are no viruses on it

Thanks

Hi j.

When a WebsiteX5 site is hacked, or you think it is compromized, the best thing to do is to change the FTP-password for your account, then delete the complete site from the webserver using an FTP-program like Filezilla. Also check the .htaccess file for unkown entries or redirects to another domain than your own.

And then republish the complete site, using your new FTP-password.

Regards,

Robert

Joe, your site appears fine (http://justcigars.ca/), I found no unexpected surprises.

Google has given me this warning when I did a massive revision to a site (which you have done) and omitted to resubmit the site. You can find details here (although you will probably need to create a google/gmail account) https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6259634?hl=en It is a one click process in the Pro version.

The other thing that triggers this message is the fact that you do not have a secure site (none of my sites are secure). I personally think this is an unnecessary expense, but increasingly we are being pushed in this direction, even Firefox now tells me I am accessing an insecure site on my webpage, and warns me if I ener the username and password for your shop.

Your hosting provider can provide the details to install SSL certificate if you wish.

Hello J. Trifoli

Did you follow Rbbrt his advice to the letter? That is exactly what you need to do.

Connect with an ftp program and remove all files is extremely importand, not with x5 but with an ftp program like fillezilla, only then all files are truly removed (also hidden files) or use your host to check and remove ALL files.

Then you need to relax, it takes google a little while to check again and confirm.
