RSS Feed Cannot Open the Link

Hello,
I have purchased the RSS Feed utility.
- Unfortunately, when I linked my current "blog posts" from https://rudybooks.com to another website that I am working on, I got the following message: "Cannot Open the Link"; despite the fact that the website which is in progress was also uploaded to the internet!
I have used the following link: https://rudybooks.com/blog/x5feed.php so that I could display "News from Another Website RSS Feed". And it doesn't work!
However,
- When I use this link https://rudybooks.com/blog/x5feed.php within the mother site (rudybooks.com) in order to display News from the Blog RSS Feed on a page inside rudybooks.com, the RSS Feed utility works.
Yet, it does not display the images associated to the blog posts, despite the fact that in "Graphic" I have ticked "Show News Image". Please, let me know if I have understood well: the image associated with the title is the one that should be displayed, right?
To sum it up: RSS feed won't feed another (external) website and does not "show News image" when displaying the list of blog posts on rudybooks.com (the main website or the source).
Can you help fix these two issues?
Thanks

Hello. In Mozilla Firefox I use extension "Want My RSS". Because of this, I see your RSS feed.
Both of your sites are made on WebSite X5 Pro 2019.2? All sites work on PHP not lower than 7.1? Have you updated the RSS Feed object to the latest version?
Send a link to the page of the site where I can see the error.
I also see warnings about mixed content on your site (http+https). Just for pictures. This can be a problem.

Hi Aleksej,
Thanks for your quick feedback on this. To answer some of your questions/suggestions:
1. Both of your sites are made on WebSite X5 Pro 2019.2? YES
2. All sites work on PHP not lower than 7.1? Yes they do. However, I have not activated any PHP page on the destination website (only rudybooks.com has PHP activated).
Is this the reason why I can't open, on the destination website, Feeds from the source (rudybooks.com)? In other words, if both pages (source and destination) do not share a common extension (.php for instance), does it mean that there will be no synchronization between source and destination?
3. Send a link to the page of the site where I can see the error. Because I am re-designing an existing website, the newer version I am working on is very awful for now and was only upoloaded to test the RSS Feed. Otherwise, the older website is still active (kumatoo.com). Unless you and I can have a live chat (Skype) for instance, then I'll be able to upload it temporarily!
4. I also see warnings about mixed content on your site (http+https). Just for pictures. This can be a problem. Thanks. I'll take care of it. And will let you know if this has improved the picture issue.
Thanks,
Rudy

Hi Aleksej,
I have fixed the mixed content (https + http) but this did not solve the image issue.
Thanks
"does it mean that there will be no synchronization between source and destination?" - I think it is not necessary.
"Unless you and I can have a live chat (Skype) for instance, then I'll be able to upload it temporarily!" - No, I do not provide advice on Skype.
I sent a request to the developers. Expect a response from them here in the comments.

Thanks Aleksej,
Waiting for the developers to get back to me.
Hi Rudy
I'll try to address these issues one by one:
1_ The image issue: I've tested this on a test project and the images are displayed correctly for me.
Are you setting the images in the slideshow section here for the feed?
These are the images that will be displayed for the entry
2_ The feed not working for a different website: I attempted to link the link you mentioned before into a test project and I can see the feed correctly. Can you confirm this to me?
Keep me posted on this here
Thank you
Stefano

Hi Stefano,
Thanks for your feedback. Just to make sure, I suppose you've tested everything using the latest pro edition: 2019.2.5 (this is what I have).
1. Image issue: Unfortunately, despite me putting the images as suggested, they do not show up. The image that displays is only the one which is inserted inside the blog post (the content). Otherwise, the ones from the slideshow don't show up.
2. Feed is still not working on a different website. I no longer I have an error message. There is just nothing! I'll test again to double check tomorrow.

Rudy

Hi Stefano,
I have received a notification to update RSS Feed when I WX5.
1. Feed is now working on another website.
2. The only issue is with the News images. Images are still not displayed except when they are availble directly inside a post, not from the slideshow.
Regards,
Hi Rudy
I'm glad to hear that the Feed is now working correctly.
About the images, I am afraid I might have misunderstood the issue here. I would like to clarify the matter a little.
What you're trying to display on your website with the RSS Feed is the RSS Feed of another website or the Blog entries?
If it's the blog entries, it works differently and it will indeed display the image content of the blog. For the RSS feed instead, it should display the slideshow images
Please let me know which one it is so that I might better analyze and perform tests on the situation
Thank you
Stefano

Hi Stefano,
Your question: What you're trying to display on your website with the RSS Feed is the RSS Feed of another website or the Blog entries? (My Answer: YES, blog entries)
The problem is now resolved, not because I am using the slideshow in RSS Feed, but because I am using the Slideshow in Blog [Post Setting >>> Resources >>> SlideShow (Add)].
Why: because I can duplicate the Cover Image that I used in Blog >>> Post Setting >>> Content >>> Cover.
Thus, when I look at the RSS Feed on the "destination website", I can see that the News Image matches the Cover Image from the "Source Website or Blog".
I hope this trick can eventually help other people, provided you are the admin of the Blog entries that you want to see on another website.
Thanks Stefano (your questions have triggered that solution)
