Hi All,
I am new to the forum, and to WebSite X5 Software. Does Website X5 Pro allow you to program multiple hyperlinked areas in one graphic or photo? For example, if I had a graphic of a map of Europe, would I be able to have one invisible (no typed text showing) hyperlink on the country of England and a separate, invisible hyperlink placed on the country of France (each individual hyperlink taking user to a different web page describing the country clicked on)? Is this a relatively easy process to set up within the Website X5 Pro program? Thanks for your help with this.

Good afternoon Cfguy
Unfortunately, at the moment the software doesn't offer any specific functionality to insert an image or similar with multiple "click" points. Something like this must be produced by an external service that provides the final code to implement onto your website, and then rely on HTML Objects to insert the code directly
There is currently no integrated way to do this directly from inside the software. I apologize for this
I remain available here in case there's anything else I can be of help with
Thank you
Stefano
Hello CfGuy
What you ask for can be made with some js and some html-code like this:
http://eksempelsite.dk/operational-accordion.html
But it will be much easier to use a tool like WebAnimator. It is a product that also is made by INCOMEDIA.
A simple example can be seen here: https://www.bramminginfo.dk/ribe-vikingecenter.html
It is buttons I have made clickable, but it could as well be an area or an image.
It is also possible to make animations with WebAnimator - see the little car that drives to the parking place when clicking the first option.
Or you could use a map like the one above the animation
See more about the map here: https://pindown.eu/
And maybe see this demo: https://pindown.eu/
If you zoom into Denmark and then in the lower left corner hover the walking-man, then you will see a possibility for marking an area. The area could have been made clickable.
Using GoogleEarth Pro, you can draw polygons. You could draw a polygon for each country, and then save them as a kmz-file. The file can be used by the map.
You can also import the kmz-file into a map you make in Googles MyMap.
This is just some suggestions to how it could be made.
The easiest will be the WebAnimator I think. Unfortunately you cannot draw polygons with the zool, but you can use figures as rectangles.
If you want to code it yourself, you could start here: https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images_imagemap.asp
Hope you are inspired by this.
Here is the link to the map-demo: https://pindown.eu/pindown/index.php?fpath=../luxalbum/Combined01
If you zoom into Denmark and then in the lower left corner hover the walking-man, then you will see a possibility for marking an area. The area could have been made clickable.
Also try the "list-view" button where you see text for a marker (could have been a country) and then see the links in the text.
The map functions smooth even with many thousand markers. Like here: https://pindown.eu/pindown/index.php?fpath=../luxalbum/Europe
You can set a maximum for the list-view. Showing more than 6000 images and texts in a view will not operate quick.
If you select on the map, you will be able to see the markers in list-view (if you select less than 7000)
