Unable to open the local file from my pc where all my photos are stored  en

Hello,

I recently experienced a computer crash that caused me to lose all my files, including the backup of the website I created using one of your templates. After reformatting my computer and reinstalling the necessary software to rebuild the website, I encountered an issue: I cannot access the local folder where my photos are stored.

Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Additionally, since my website is hosted by Hostinger, is there any way to retrieve my website directly from the host?

Furthermore, as you can see in the attached screenshot, the menu appears in Italian instead of English.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

Paul

Hello Paul,
if you keep CTRL pressed when clicking the File Explorer, you should be able to use the default Windows file explorer, viewing the actual folders.
I would suggest, however, trying a clean reinstall of the software first to see if the issue is fixed:

1) Uninstall the software in the standard way, from the Windows panel.
2) Go to the path C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Incomedia and delete the folder corresponding to your version of the software (it should be WebSite X5 - Pro).
3) Restart the PC.
4) With the antivirus and firewall temporarily disabled, run as admin the installer you can find here: https://www.websitex5.com/download/v2022.3/wsx5_pro.exe

Regarding the website, unfortunately it is not possible to use the files that are online to restore a project.

Thank you, Eric. I will try this and come back if I succeed. I like the Website X5.
