Having trouble with publishing a project to a shared hosting account - but just the database settings
Created a DB, but X5 reports MySQL Database settings failed. The host name is just the IP address - should it have more of a path ?

This information depends on the web host and possibly also on the web hosting packages.
What does support say?
I live in Germany and my web host is Hosteurope, here the host name is “localhost”.

Ah yes I think it may be the same. will try that
maybe your host require a port's number in configuration
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3306
