Wish you a very Happy Diwali; a festival of lights widely celebrated by Indians locally & all over the world.
Please visit https://ashokaengineers.in/
Client want to sell products online. I am new to the Shopping Cart of WX5. Need your valuable guidance to complete this project. Have following questions in mind -
1. Before completing, is it possible to hide the Shopping Cart till it is fully functional?
2. Can newly added products be displayed on the home page automatically?
3. Can I share access to my client to add discount offers or festival offers of various products?
4. For smoother functionality, which payment gateway will you suggest which is accepted by WX5? PLease note that I'm located in India.
Thanks & regards
Mandar

Regarding point 1:
Products can be hidden. To do so, select the product in the list and click "Hidden" at the top.
Regarding point 2:
The "Product Catalog" object can be used on any page, including the home page, to display selected products.
Regarding point 3:
Customers can't add products to the shop.
But if customers only want to present their products with text and images and include a discount code, you could use the "Dynamic Content" object to give them a place on the website where they would have access to an editor after logging in.
Perhaps other users or the Incomedia employees know more.
Regarding point 4:
Perhaps other users from India or the Incomedia staff can help here.
Regarding point 3 - Addendum:
If the customer wants to manage the shop, they would also need to obtain a license for WebSite X5 (there are reseller offers for web agencies/freelancers), and they would need to be trained in the use of WebSite X5 and the shop module so they can work with it themselves.

Government tax is mentioned as VAT, but in India GST i.e. Goods & Services Tax is applicable. Let me know the procedure to change VAT to GST.
Thank you.
The default text in the shop, e.g. VAT, can be replaced by other text, e.g. GST, see

Country is automatically appearing 'United Kingdom'. I want only 'India' to appear there because client does not sell products outside India.
Attached screenshot for your kind consideration.
Please help.
If only India should be possible as a country, then shorten the country list to "India" and "IN" - see

----- WebSite X5 -----

country_names | [array]IN
Sorry - here are the correct entries
----- WebSite X5 -----

country_names | [array]India
I can't find a shop on the linked website to test it.
