jpg pictures not displaying same size

Hi
I am displaying a lot of pictures in one page.
I want each picture to display and have the same height (Width is irrelevant and will stay within the correct ratio anyway). I use a graphics program to reduce the height to 500px or some other height. I tried using a table and specifying a height of 500px there also, but images don't display the same height. (I would prefer not to use a table anyway).
How can I make them display uniform height and still use an Image Object in Step 3 (rather than a table)?
Is there a setting I can look at for this?
How can it be done? Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Hello Cos,
The Height of the images added with the Image Object depends on the width of the Cell in step 3. If you set the width of the cells to the same pixels, it can be done by clickning on the slider below the Grid Layout by using the rightclick and then you choose "reset equal colums width", then all images will have the same height.
Please feel free to write back if you need more information.

Hi Claudio
I have tried your suggestion and I can see how it works.
I still have the same problem, and I have attached a screen capture showing various items, of different sizes and all the images edited in a graphics editor and all set to a height of 1350px, and the width of the cells set to all equal, but I still can't get them to be displayed as same size.
I suppose it is a matter of experience, but just now I am stuck as I can't get pictures to all look the same.
Help please.
Many thanks

Basically, aconflict arisesrepresentationfor images withdifferent ratioof length towidth, sincethe images arenot displayedconsumed.

Hi JJ Gruss
Thanks very much for your quick reply - much appreciated.
I didn't know I could use a text object to insert pictures, but I will try it now.
Thanks again

Hi JJ Gruss
I've been trying to insert an image in a text frame as you suggested. Problem is I can't find a way to put a frame round the picture. Am I missing something?
Also, when adjusting a picture size, the last picture on the right doesn't have any handles so it can't be adjusted individually.
Any workaround there?
Thanks

Hello Cos,
the images have all the same height but different ratio. WebSite X5 keeps the width of the cell and show the image inside it "fitting" it based on the the cell width. If you want to keep the ratio and have all the images to have the same height you should change the wisth cell according to the image sizes.
If you want to have all the images displayed as a grid with all the images with the same size, I can suggest you to resize them like squares. In this way you can preserve ratio and sizes.
Hope this helps

Hi Michele
Thanks for your note.
Yes - I do want my images displayed as a grid and all the same size.
Could you please give me the steps in order to achieve this? And using which object for this?
I will be very grateful for all your help as this is a very big headache for me. It takes me 5 minutes to configure and display a product but 2 hours to get the picture the correct size! It's not very productive!
Thanks

Hello Cos,
you can crop all your images according to a square ratio but this could be time consuming. I suggest you to use the Gallery Object with a Thumbnails type. You can decide how many images you want to display and can set a different behaviour per images.
Hope this helps
