Incorrect displayed fonts on iPad/iPhone

When I am using SansSerif fonts (e.g. Tahoma) for web content (menus, texts, ...) on PC looks everything correct. But on iOS Safari (iPad/iPhone) some objects (tabs names in text/table objects , names in submenu/page menu, labels in web form, ...) are displayed in Serif font (?Times New Roman?), but texts and main menu are OK.
Any suggestion, how to fix it?

Hello Jano,
Please check the settings of safari mobile if there you have set as default font SERIF.
It can be safari is using a different setting because the used font is not present in iOS.
Many thanks!

Thank you, Claudio. It seems that Tahoma isn't pre installed od iOS 7 - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5878?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Hello Jano,
In this case you need to use the fonts from the list so these will be rendered on iOS7.
Many thanks!
