The 'Home' version of WebSite X5 is a pretty basic, stripped down version of the software.  There are no less than three more comprehensive versions above it in the range: Compact, Evolution, and Professional.

Many of the more advanced features shown in the tutorial will not be available in your 'Home' edition.

As to the update not working, could you post details of the exceptions as either an attachment or screenshot?

Alternatively, you can always install the most recent version of your software from here:

Once downloaded, right-click on the setup file and select 'Run as administrator'...  there's no need to uninstall your existing version first...  but do ensure that WebSite X5 is closed before running the install.
