Generate Barcode acknowledgement on registration

I want to have people registering on a site yet to be developed and to receive a sequential barcode acknowledgement. Any suggestions How to do this? V11 Pro.
Concept is that we are having a Charity funrun walkathon. Expect 1000s to enter and pay registration via Credit Card or paypal and to get an email or pdf back that has a sequential barcode embedded. Then on the day of the event, the runner brings his barcode, we scan it and off they run.. We scan again when they get back capturing the elapsed time.
Any suggestions How to do this? V11 Pro.

What you are hoping to do is quite specialised and not a native feature of WebSite X5.
However, WebSite X5 allows for the inclusion of custom PHP scripts in projects, which could achieve your objective.
