Is the conversion to version 15 the same as before? Export project file > Import project file or can the existing files in the project directory be used?

Fred, it is strongly recommended to export from v14 and import to v15, if nothing else, this will preserve the v14 project in case it is necessary to temporarily "go back".
Directly opening or copying and opening an earlier version project will have unexpected repercussions.

Yes, after trying both ways, appears to be the only way it works correctly.
