For the future please do setup in such way as before - that means old version stay as it was and the new one instal in separate new folder. It is frustrating and cumbersome to install new version and then install the old one (and by the way download the new old setup) and instal all ads, templates, etc.

or simply let the user decide where to install!

We think it's very good as it is now. Since there are no problems for us in v2019.1.6 pro, version 17 is no longer needed, but if there is an unexpected reason, the repeated (and separate) installation is not a problem. You can also wait a few weeks to install the update in new version to bridge the first uncertainties.
In addition, the danger has suddenly been returned to work with the project in v17, as long as this is not finally deleted, no longer exists.
We welcome the current processes of update and installation for the clean progress.
