Hi,

is it possible to translate the messages in the purchasing process style (Step description 1, Step description 2...)?

(Shopping cart > Options > Purchasing process style)

As I can see those are text objects not graphics...

Yes, you can edit these texts in the Language Content Management window... see the following link for full details:
