Looking to setup a link to download a pdf on a website. I want to client to put in their name and email to get the PDF. Any thoughts?

You could use the contact form for that.
In the confirmation mail from the contact form, sent to the user, you could have a link to a pdf file.
This way the user will only receive the PDF/link, when you have his mail address.
This is a simple way to do it.
