The second message if I push the IGNORE button
You can download the installation file of the previous version in your profile menu at the top right of this page under Download and install the program parallel to the old version. Then load the unconverted project and change the information. Then open it again in the new version.

Thank you for your advice Franz. I did as you suggested.
It works for projects that was saved in version 2021.2.8. and it is not updated, however, it will not work for project that is updated and saved in version 2021.3.3 , because the parallel WSX5 (2021.2.8) cannot open it to change the database settings
Hello,
In your previous project saved with 2021.3.3 probably you have a backup directory. here many files are your backups... Check the more fresh regarding the date and copy this one into the root of your project. (../)
Save your project.iwprj2 as project.iwprj2.old and rename your backup file here with project.iwprj2.
try to open it with 2021.2.8
Enjoy!

Thank you Axel. I did what you suggested.
The backup file can be recovered.
But the problem exists : If you made a mistake during inputting server configuration, the configuration is grey out again and you must recover from backup.
I think this is a bug of 2021.3.3 version, it is better to have the option to correct mistake instead of recover from backup
Until this is fixed by dev. team , I will use 2021.2.8 version :)
Thanks again and have a good day guys
normal.... new version .... bugs, bugs, bugs...
no quality tests ... nothing has changed ! it's a pity.
Now, I never use a new version... Too lost time.
Better to wait one or 2 other versionning....
Hello Sentra
This is not actually a bug in the new version. It was made like this to avoid errors in copying the data during the Database upgrade of the new version
If you have a project that uses the Database in the previous version when the project is brought to the new version the data will be presented blocked in this way due to the fact that the new version brings changes to the management of the Database. For the first export only, the project will need to connect to the configured Database and perform some operations. After the first export, this data will be editable again.
If this error appears, it means that the software is unable to connect correctly to the database with the data provided. It is necessary to either reopen the project with the previous version and remove the database or make sure with the hosting that the connection data are still the same
Please verify if this is possible for you and keep me posted here
Thank you

Hi Stefano,
Yes you are right, it was connection error, because I made experiment changing the database name.
I never connect to the database before, maybe that was not a problem in 2021.2.8 because I can skip the operation before upload the website update to the server.
2021.3.3 does not allow skipping if the database test failed ,thus, upload process is cancelled automatically.
I guess that what happened.
Other thing is that if I checked the database connection with NAVICAT , I was able to connect succesfully.
With the same credential I cannot get any connection with websitex5.
Do I missed something ?
Hello Sentra
You will be able to skip the connection to the database the same way you did in v2021.2 but only after the first export. Due to the technical reasons, I explained above, the first export must mandatorily be successful if your project had a Database configured before because it needs to copy it into the new tables.
I'm not sure what you mean at the end of your post. You found out that it was a connection error, but wasn't able to get it fixed yet?
As of now, what is the exact situation? You have a project with a Database configured and the data is supposed to be correct but it won't connect?
Keep me posted here
Thank you
Stefano
What a mission just to edit the database, and we can't even delete the database as well as it's all greyed out.
I was just reading what has been going on. I also had this problem but I solved it quickly without the use of X5 Pro xxx. I went into my phpMyAdmin or my cPanel - SQL database and either renamed or added a new user to fit the information in X5. This might not be a solution for others, but has worked for me.
Hi Stefano
It is not true that after the first successful export, access to the database editing will be unlocked.
I have correctly written on the basis of the first order, and then there is no possibility to change the database.
What's worse, after updating the WebSide program itself changed the name of the tabel and this is no longer a continuation of the previous base, so that the entire mechanism of automatic import into the order system I can bring to the basket ...
It's me, as an administrator, I have to decide what prefixes created by Website tables have (this was in the old version 17), and not the application itself, because it is necessary to create a universal tool if I have many stores.
This is undoubtedly the application bug.
Artur
Hello Arthur,
I am full agree with you about table name prefix... Now It is not possible to use an external generic tool or script to have an external DB access, because tables name are not the same for each project !!!!!
Good afternoon everyone
I can understand that the change with the table prefixes might not suit all situations. However, after many discussions, it was decided to favor ease of use and avoid the possibility of creating issues on the website due to problems with the way prefixes are inserted contrary to allowing for more customizability
This is the main reason why this was changed this way. We predict that many more users will start using the Database functionality due to the fact that less customization is needed and the entire process is easier to get started
About the issue @Artur mentioned.
I can confirm that if the credentials are inserted correctly and your software can connect to the database correctly, the credentials won't be greyed out. If they remain greyed out, it means that the connection was not successful
If you have any doubt about this, please open up a new private topic and I will look at your project for you
Thank you
Stefano
@ Stefano
So, can you confirm that if we have only one (1) database used in the project - THERE WILL NOT BE ANY database issues upon update to the newest X5 version?
I'm using X5 form to store form-inputs into the database - am I safe to update the software?
You know, I had some BIG disappointments with the past updates regarding messing up with the site's layout and such... I sure don't want any database mess-up!
@Sinisa,
Like Rambo takes some risks my friend
Hello Sinisa
If you only have 1 Database, the software will need to perform fewer operations. Namely, it will move all content from the automatically created tables to new ones with a new name. This only goes for the ones created automatically by the software. The ones from the form will not be changed. Additionally, all older tables will not be deleted so that if anything goes wrong, your old version of the website uploaded online will work just as fine as before.
In any case, should you wish to go one further degree of safety, perform a full backup of the Database. As mentioned before though, the old tables are preserved so you shouldn't really risk losing any data
I hope I was helpful
Stefano
@ Stefano
OK - I back-up everything anyway...
