Hi

I'm trying to make the Dropbox plugin working, but after following the setup steps from Website X5 it still not working.
What to do???

This is the message that I got from  my  webpage  is  this: An error occurred while creating the gallery.

Its a fine video, but it don't work now after dropbox have changed something in the developer system.

In the video and the manual from X5, i can see that they have a box that says that from august 2021 have problems. So I realy hope that they come with an update to how to do it.

Hi, unfortunately, the Website X5 guide is not always up to date. DropBox often makes changes to its API and this makes the Incomedia guides obsolete.
This is my report of January 21, 2022 regarding an Update of the DropBox API:

I did an online test. Apart from some inaccuracies in the manual relating to the search for the "three dots at the bottom right" that lead to the Application generation page and apart from the "Access Token Expiration" item which is not in DropBox, I note that on Hosting Altervista the DropBox does not work but, the same project exported to the space of another Hosting (Aruba), works perfectly ...

Hi, I'm sorry but I discovered that after about 2 hours also on Aruba the DropBox Gallery stops working, this is due to the migration that DropBox made at the beginning of the year gradually switching from long-term to short-term Token Access automatically.

So after about 2 hours the Access Token stops working (and also the DropBox Gallery). You have to follow a different procedure than what is indicated in the Incomedia guides, everything is explained here in this discussion on the DropBox Forum to make the Access Token long-lasting:

P.S. this problem of the short duration of the Access Token does not affect the old galleries created before December 2021 with the DropBox gallery object, it is only valid for the new galleries
