Hi Guys,

Right now, when the contact form object accepts attachements, the all go into the public_html folder moxed in with all my webpage files.

Is there a way to place all the attachement files into a separate folder, and make this more organized and secure?

Of course, I'd like the ability to define the folder on each contact form use, so that business documents uploaded would go into a separate folder from photos etc, if that's possible?

Hello Ray,
you can do so by using the "Send data to a file" mode, by setting up the script file in order to suit your needs in terms of placing the files in the desired folders.

Hi Eric,  Thanks for your response.

I'm sending contact form data from all forms to a database at the moment because I want the ability to recover any messages in the event the email option fails to deliver messages.

It's just the attachements that I want saved in a folder, rather than the public_html folder, or can the actual file be saved in the database (blob)?

Hello Ray,
unfortunately the "Send data to a database" mode does not include this option, I can report your feedback about this so that in future update we may consider improving this aspect of the object.

Hi Eric, thanks.  I feel this would keep incoming data from upload forms in a more organized manner, preferrably being able to define the folder name based on the form. So if somebody is using the form for people to upload photos, these can all go into an images folder.  If they are uploading business documents, there can go into a separate folder.

The same would be true for downloading forms.  If these could all be kept in a single folder it woud just keep things more organized.  I know that you can do this manually moving files directly into a folder, but it would be better in the download object woud do this.
