Dear Friends
I got a message from *** offering 4 credits and a choice of objects.
When I visited the site, after logging in, the two objects that I wanted showed a button saying "purchased". I remember purchasing templates a while back or something but that did not include
PPT File and PDF File.
I could not find out where to get the objects or how to use them.
Can you help?
All the best

OK, located the two objects (under MANAGE . . . on the Page Creation tab).
I am trying to work out how to use them . . . thanks.

Friends:
I tried the PDF File Widget. It worked well. I could view the PDF file as is, in the PREVIOUS of the page I was working on.
When I tried the same with the PPT File Widget, first, I realized it would not accept a pptx. So I converted it to a .pps file and uploaded it to my site.
When I previous the page, it immediately offered to download and save the file but not view it. (Note that I did click the PREVIEW button on the bottom right side of X5).
Question 1: are we restricted to ppt and pps? (No pptx or ppsx?
Question 2: can you explain what is it that I am doing wrong not to get the PPT to display?
Thanks a lot
Akram
Hello Akram Najjar,
Yes the widget uses only ppt and pps files and it cannot load pptx or ppsx files.
To display the pps or ppt file in the browser it will be necessary to have a plugin installed in the browser able to render pps or ppt files otherwise the browser will allow you only to download them.
These files are not natively supported by the browsers and to display them it is necessary to find a plugin for the browser able to render them.
Many thanks!
