Database on ftp server 
Autor: Jana K.Hi there, I have problems with uploading content to online web, everything was ok till last week, no changes have been made in settings with FTP server or etc. for the last few months, since I upgraded to website x5 v12, it has problems with uploading stuff online, it says, there is connection error with database server, i have contacted web provider and they adviced me that they cannot do anything about it once i use website x5 they dont know about software anything at all.Only adviced me correct something in configuration database ending php. I didnt make any changes at all it was working fine and stoped only last week, here is my web: www.anjelska-pomoc.sk/web, when i export project online, everything uploads perfect in website x5 its says congratulation your website is online (no errors during export) and once i click on website it says this message about database, ftp host name and password are good and when i log in to my webhosting provider control panel,and look at the database it says in mysql database 0MB, i know there is something wrong with connection website x5 v12 on database...any ideas pleasee?

You haven’t mentioned what you are using the database for.
The FTP and MYSQL servers are two separate entities. Firstly, you need to create the database via your webhosting control panel, then put the database’s host name (URL), database name, username and password into the data management section in step 4, advanced settings. Then select the object you wish to use and configure it with the database details.
When you FTP it all to your server the code generated by WSX5 will configure the database and all should work.

Thank you Barry for your quick reply, actually database was used just for blog and comments, even tho i tried to upload the project without adavance settings of database it didnt work. If i set project without using database and want to export project online using ftp server, it doesnt work. All FTP details are right, its just all about exporting project online..nothing works.Just dont understand, i see project offline all good, click on export it and it all uploads with no error, i get this message all is online, when i check it, it says this message problem with database server...i absolutely dont understand whats going on...would you mind to look at it please if anytnig is missing?? website http://anjelska-pomoc.sk/web/ I would send you ftp details
tried to transfer project with the FileZilla program , you get the same error hosting company should discuss this situation.

Can you make a screenshot of the message ?
The blog does not make use of a database. Just a file at your webhost and that looks all good.
Is there something in x5 set in step 4 datamanagement ?
I clicked all over, no message overhere. Try ctrl-F5 in your explorer and see if the message is gone? Else please make a screenshot.
