When copying/pasting my analytic tracking ID in v12 only one word, <script> was showing, searching thru this forum I found earlier posts where someone else had this problem, and had to copy word for word to eventually get the entire text in the v12 project. So that's what I did as well. It worked copying one line at a time, but of course there are no carriage returns or spaces, as is shown in the actual Google ID. Just checking to see if someone that knows more than me thinks I did this correctly. I already show up in Google because my website has previously been uploaded in v8, so want to make sure when I make the conversion I copied it correctly. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Charlene,
You only need to enter the actual Tracking ID... do not enter any 'code' as WebSite X5 does this automatically, and if you add any more you will encounter problems.
Kind regards,
Paul

I clicked on the help button in v12 next to the analytics. I logged into analytics and copied this code; then I pasted it into the field on v12, step 4, SEO; A copy of what I pasted is below. Also attached is a photo of what that page looks like now. Let me know if this is correct please. Thanks!
<script>
(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m[removed].insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,'script','https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');
ga('create', 'UA-82876610-1', 'auto');
ga('send', 'pageview');
</script>
No, unfortunately that's not correct. You need to enter the Tracking ID only in the field in Step 4, which in your case is UA-82876610-1 - Don't add any other code as shown in your last post, because WebSite X5 adds this itself.
Best wishes...
UA-82876610-1 is all you need

Thanks, Paul. So does the attached look correct now? Also, is it best to check "IP Anonymization," and the Enable view in Explorer 8?
Everything in your screenshot looks perfect, Charlene.
It's largely a matter of personal preference as to whether you enable the two options you refer to. IP Anonymization will mask the full IP address of your web visitors, which will protect their privacy at the expense of giving you slightly less accurate information in Google Analytics. Depending on your local data protection laws this may or may not be important to you. You can read more about it here:

Internet Explorer 8 is now a very old browser, but if you want to continue to support the few web visitors who may be using it then you can enable the compatibility option. This will increase the size of your web pages slightly, however. Anyone using IE8 to view your site will then be able to render it correctly in their browser, although the pages will not incorporate responsive design.
