The basic issue is that I have 4 mp4 videos on a page and they all just show the dark PLAY arrow and control bar. Is it possible to display a frame of the video or a picture to indicate the video subject?
I found a possible hint in the discussion " Shows also the first frame of the video - Internal video player Author: Janos K.", but the link to the answer has been made private "This post is set as Private!".
Thanks

...when you open the object video, usually you have three options: general, html5, sitemap; well, in sitemap you can choose a preview image, but not automatically, you must prepare it, before...

Sorry but I don't understand. Attached is the web page with 4 mp4 movies that can be clicked and ran. I just want to have a picture for each movie and not just the black screen with an run arrow.
Hello Terence,
At the moment it is not possible to display an image instead of the black background.
the option Gabriele wrote is for the sitemap where it will show the image in case of searchresults by searchengines.
The only option to have it with an image at the moment is to use the youtuve/vimeo function where you use a video which has been uploaded on youtube/vimeo.
Many thanks!

Work around with a defficiency.
In a new cell, add a TEXT object. Open the TEXT object and type in info(word or two) to identify the movie. Highlight the all or part of the text and click add LINK. In the link ACTION window, select FILE OR URL WITH SHOWBOX for the action. Then select the file/movie to be played. Then Click OK.
Next for the same cell, click INSERT IMAGE and select an image to identify something in or about the movie. Placement of the cursor will determine where the TEXT link is displayed relative to the image. Using the right, center, and left justification icons. Trial and error may be needed.
Inthe PREVIEW or online, you must click on the linked TEXT to display the SHOEBOX window showing the run arrow. Then click the run arrow.
Deficiency is that once you start running the movie, you can only pause and stop. Would be great to have the full movie controls.
Any comments for improvements or a better way will be appreciated.

Relative to the Difficiency mention, once the movie window (showbox) is displayed, if you right click in the movie window (not on the play arrow), you are given options to toggle the controls, download the movie, email the movie, and several other choices.
fantastico!
