A collection of unexplained X5 behaviours - with a demo Video  en

Recently, I purchased the Heavy Template from Incomedia. As I work with the template and add my own content, I encounter numerous quirks that just don't make sense.

Rather than trying to explain all this in words, please watch the YouTube video (link below) that showcases many strange outcomes while designing the page.

I really hope that the staff at Incomedia or some experienced users can explain the odd outcomes being shown in the video. Please take a look:

Looking forward to your assistance to resolve all these issues. Thank you.

Myron

I have watched your movie and I believe most of the issues will be resolved once you read https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/de/post/173057

The reason the photo cell overlaps the picture is because the large picture is a page background, not on the page.

All of your issues (including those in the "row formats" option) are being caused because you are not using the layout options correctly, cells on the page content have no relationship with page background content.

Leave the page background blank (no pic). Place your large picture in a cell, adjust the margins, then place a second picture below it, they will appear touching one above the other. You could cheat :-) If you must place the main picture as a page background, then add carriage returns above and below you text so that the cell matches the height of your background (note that this is a "kludge" and will fail if or when your font is replaced in user browsers)

The left "separation" on the left of the webpage - you need to visit step 2, template, customisation, template structure, and modify the margins for the page contents, depending on the template, you may also need to visit page background margins.

Myron, it occured to me some time after I finished watching your video and writing my opinions above that if you had made use of the "row formats" option on the page (rather than page background) you could have achieved exactly what you want without any inconsistencies caused by using the wrong techniques.

Place a text cell on the page with your words in the cell, then use row formats to place your picture behind those words. This  gives even greater control with the added options of full width to the width of the browser window and optionally parallax view.
