I use Website X5 Evolution 9:
I have a website with 5 menu items, but one item has about 100 pages.
I am looking for simple HTML code to put forward backwards buttons on each page, because if i use the drop down menu, the pages dont pass the mobile friendly test.
any sugestions please?

Hello Captain
Maybe you could use something like I have done here : http://www.brammingegnsmuseum.dk/et-museum-fodes.html
In the bottom I have made an icon. When clicked it leads to the next page. I don't have a backward button but I could have made this the same way.
The little icon simply have a link that directs to the next page - and the page could in the top have a back button (icon).
Hope it was something like this you mean.
Kind regards

Thanks for that John S, I have just done this on part of the site, however if I ever shuffel the pages around it will throw it all out. All in all, I think I'll have to do it this way, however for sleep advice and mental health advice, it will be a long process...
All the best Capt, Williams
Hello again Captain
If you keep the order of the pages, it should be rather easy to insert or delete pages.
Another way could be to use the menu system if you could group your pages. Then you could have a left-nenu with 10-15 "pages" - each page could lead to a new set of pages - and so on.
You then just have one left-menu that you change when choosing menu-point. But it will only make sense, if the pages can be logically grouped. Advantage of this is, taht you keep the pages in the menu-system, and they can be found by a search ( if you use the search function ) and they will be seen in the site-map.
Another solution could be to put all the pages in a PDF-file, and then show this PDF on a page. Disadvantage of this is, that the PDF can be downloaded - but so can a whole site.
Another solution could be to use an frame. Each page you have should be stand-alone pages. On top of the page with the iframe you had a forward and a backward button, and then some logic that "add" the page number and show the corresponding page in the iframe.
I hope you find the right solution for your purpose, and I hope you will still have a good nights sleep.
Kind regards
