Thought I've posted the same message 2 days ago, but don't see it anymore, anyway, I'll try again:
Getting this error (see file attached) when trying to upload both of my websites, saying that the selected server in the target map, doesn't match the website URL as set in the general settings. I override the message with "NEE"= "NO" and it uploads without changes, which is not correct of cause. What is wrong here?
Regards,
Hans.

Hans, I have to admit I do not speak the language on the screen shots, but I suspect WX5 is demanding that the address in step1 settings is the same as the domain you are uploading to. When I have needed to upload to a folder within a domain I have specified the address in full. eg www.mydomain.com/test
The only time I had a real issue was after adding ssl certificates to my website, here I had to change the website address (url) to htps://www.mydomain.com
If it is all to hard, export to HD, and then use filezilla to upload the site. WX5 knows nothing of Filezilla, and vica versa.

Thanks for you answer Esahc, but it doesn't solve my problem.
What you describe as your issue is exactly my problem. I've added ssl certificates and had to change the website adress (url) starting with https:// (not htps as you are saying). So, I uploaded to https://www.fotohulp.nl and it doesn't work. I don't use filezilla and I'm not planning to do this as it should (I hope you agree with me) woth the normal way.
Anyway, I'm still waiting to get teh correct answer from Incomedia
Hans, my sites are SSL, but none require sftp as part of the FTP address. On my hosting the FTP folder (or I guess the SFTP folder), is not related to website files.
Please advise if this works.

Hello Esahc,
You mean like this (see example attached)?
No, it doesn't work! It's telling me "Can't make a conncetion to the server".
I've got instructions from my hostingprovider that the Hostname must be: sftp.fotohulp.nl and the server type must be: SFTP.
Hopefully you have other suggestions?
Regards,
Hans
Hans - I have run out of suggestions sorry, I have marked this post for Incomedia's attention.
Autor
Okay, thanks, hopefully they will look at it shortly!
Regards,
Hans.
Hans - whilst you are waiting, in my FTP upload the hosting domain is different to the subdomain.
It sounds like you are not logging into the correct domain.

Hello Esahc,
Think back: The message "Can't make a connection to the server"only appeared after following up your suggestion to change the server type and FTP adress. Before that I didn't get this message!
Again, from the beginning, I've just followed up the instructions given by my Hosting provider to set the server type to "SFTP" and FTP adress to "sftp.fotohulp.nl". The serverpath is "/public/sites/www.fotohulp.nl". The connection to the server works, but it keeps telling me that the selected server of the targetmap doesn't match the websute-URL.
Regards,
Hans.

And: This website URL is "https://www.fotohulp.nl", so what is wrong here????
Hi Hans.
This could also be caused by the fact that your folder path is not the root of the website.
For this reason, the URL in step 1 expects you to insert the full path of the website.
This being said, the warning you receive at the beginning should have no negative consequence on the upload.
It is but a simple warning. By pressing "no" you should be able to move on normally.
What happens instead?
Let me know
Stefano

Hello Stefano,
I'm lost. The URL is "https://www.fotohulp.nl". There is nothing I can change, it is the full URL! So what do you mean?
What I also don't understand is: If it doesn't make a difference if you answer YES or NO, what is the purpose of the question? This is very confusing!
Please let me know what to, so it works smoothly without error messages!
Regards,
Hans.

The problem started after changing FTP to FTPS to make my SSL certificate work. Before that, it always worked fine.
Autor
I mean SFTP (not FTPS).
I'm having the same problem, in fact. It just started after upgrading to v.15.2.2. I didn't change anything, and I never got this error before, so I'm a bit concerned as to why it's showing up.
Hans, while I can't promise anything for you, when I clicked "No", it still successfully exported my website, and everything is correct online. (But it is annoying and I'd like it to go away.)
I think what Stefano is saying (correct me if I'm wrong) is that if your website domain is something like http://subdomain.domain.com then you have to include all of it (and not just http://domain.com), or if your home page is http://domain.com/home.php then you have to include all of that (and not just http://domain.com). Stefano, is that right?
As for my situation (sorry for piggybacking on your thread, Hans), again, I didn't change anything either in the General Settings or in the Export settings. Just all of a sudden today it started giving me this error. So I'm not entirely sure why.
Autor
May sound strange, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. In fact I also have seen somebody on facebook having this same problem, so it must be a bug in the X5 software!
What you suggest Tyler (and Stefano) is exactly what I'm doing. My URL isn't any longer than https://www.fotohulp.nl (no subdomains or wat so ever, so I still don't understand what I'm doing wrong. And I agree with you Tyler, if YES or NO doesn't make a difference, it should be removed!!
Regards, Hans.

Any news Stefano?

Autor
Hello there, any news a out what is wrong please!!!!
Regards,
Hans.
Hans, perhaps if you were prepared to try Filezilla or some other (free) FTP program you could work out whether you have something wrong in domain/ftp address or destination directory, or perhaps identify a problem with WX5?
It is only a matter of exporting to disk and then using an FTP program.
Hi Hans.
I'd like to ask you to verify this for me still, before trying and analyzing the project directly.
What if you try and export a new project to the same domain. Do you get the same issue?
Or is it project related? Should it appear to be project related, I might need to ask you to send me the project to check
Let me know
Stefano
Autor
Hello Stefano,
I'm afraid it is caused by the fact that the error started when using https:// and I only have one other project that also has a SSL certificate and that shows the same problem.
I would be happy to send you the project to check, if you let me know the adress where I can send it, so please let me know.
Regards,
Hans.

Esahc,
I've just uploaded both my projects succesfully trough filezilla. I've used the attached settings.
However, when I try this at X5, it keeps telling me that the selected server at the targetmap doesn't match the website URL in general settings. See examples.
Please let me know your and Stefano's thoughts, I'm still lost, so please solve this for me !!!!!.
Regards,
Hans.
I have the same problem after last update, whitout doing any changes in the program at all.
The stockcontrol does not work eighter after this. But when try it in the version before this update - everything works just fine.
Hans, I am at a disadvantage because my internet is down and this mobile leaves much to be desired. If Incomedia see this post I am sure they will assist, but if I can get a connection tomorrow I will assist ASAP unless the problem is resolved.
Thankyou for trying FileZilla.
Hans - I do not know I'm sorry.
I frequently get "selected server at the targetmap doesn't match the website URL" when I am uploading test websites or examples, but simply saying NO (I don't want to fix this) lets WX5 proceed with the upload. I cannot understand why this should be causing you a problem and failing.
Since you are absolutely sure that the destination you successfully used in filezilla is identical to the one used in WX5-FTP then there must be some problem in WX5 as you have mentioned, I just cannot replicate it.
Autor
Hello Esahc,
I'm glad you agree with me that there is problem with X5. From the beginning I said that if you answer "NO" to the question, the upload is taking place, but because of this error message you can't trust the software if it is really uploading everything the way it should be. If Incomedia is convinced that is the case, they have to remove the error message! SO I'M ASKING INCOMEDIA AGAIN, PLASE REMOVE THIS MEANINGLESS AND INCORRECT ERROR MESSAGE!
Regards,
Hans.
Hans, for some users this is a very important notice. If the URL used in settings, website address is incorrect, the menus will not behave correctly (current page will not be indicated). But for configurations like yours where the hosting company wishes you to upload your site to an address\directory that bears little resemblance to the final URL, there should be a tick box so you can choose not to see this message again for this project.
My apologies for not recollecting you could upload after saying no.
Autor
Hello Esahc,
I do not agree! In the first place, this started happening when I changed from http:// to https:// and never before in the 6 years I' m using Incomedia X5! In the second place, this isn't a 'one off' but I get the same message every time again when I upload a project. Very surprising, Filezilla doesn't show this error message, so where is the mistake? If it would be a one time message and the system would accept it once and for all, I could accept this, but it its very anoying to be told every time that there is something wrong, whilst it isn't!
By the way, other users (read the thread) have the same problem.
Further more. I appreciate your comments Esahc and you are on top of it, but Incomedia's helpdesk is letting me down, because I have to wait for ages to get any response.
If the mistake is on my side, I can accept it, but so far I'm not convinced.
Regards,
Hans.
Hans, filezilla does not throw an error because it doesn't have anything to compare the destination with. In WX5 it knows the url from settings and it is comparing it with the destination in step5 export upload to internet. With your host (and others) they obviously do not match.
But I do think there should be an option to not see the message in future.
Autor
Understood Esahc,
But my URL is the same as it has ever been before and also the destination server adress is (apart from the portnumber (from 21 --> 22) the same.
What differs is the upload protocol that has been changed from ftp --> sftp, due to establising the SSL certificate (http:// --> https://).
Bottom line: (but I'm repeating myself) If there is no error, I don't want to see an error warning that I need to override every single time.
Regards,
Hans
Hi Hans, Esahc,
I proceeded to verifying a possible issue with HTTPS, that when inserted in the URL in step 1, causes the software to send the warning message telling the user that the URL doesn't seem to be correct.
It is currently under investigation, but I will be sure to notify you here as soon as there's news about this.
Thank you for taking the time to report this so thoroughly and for your understanding
Stefano
If you haven't tried this yet, it worked for me: I just went to my website address in the General tab and deleted the "s" from https. So now the URL for my site just has "http://...". I didn't get the error message on export, and the export worked fine.
Autor
It doesn't work Tyler, because it conflicts with the sftp protocol. Besides, my URL must be https:// (that's the purpose of it all) and not http://
Regards,
Hans.

Any news Incomedia? (Haven't seen a change in update 15.2.3)
Regards,
Hans.
Hi Hans,
unfortunately the fix didn't make it inside this update yet.
It is still being worked on then, and news will soon be available for it.
I'll be sure to notify you here as soon as the developers get back to me on this
Thank you
Stefano
