I can connect with the database using the tool from afsoftware and see that the table exists, but my website entries using the Contact Form do not update the database and I do not get a confirming email.

If you can be connected with my tool, so the issue is really from the software configuration and not from your provider or db parameters.

Just one question. Does your db user has right to do modifications into the db ?

Also ask to the provider to check the logs to see if their is some reject or something like that.

For emails issues, on the admin page of your web site (www.youwebsite.com/admin) you can test email sending

I have checked, and the user has full rights on the database.

I have asked the ISP to check for rejected posts as you suggest.

I have used X5 for email sends from other sites using this ISP and they work OK.
