Hi,
I can't work with webx5 pro anymore - because every attempt to open page contents or object style takes minutes...
What's happening? and how to deal with it?
Best Regards
Gepostet am
Hello Marek,
The most likely reason for this is that some other piece of software on your PC is interfering with the normal operation of WebSite X5. The usual culprits are anti-virus/malware/firewall packages.
Try temporarily disabling any such software on your PC. If WebSite X5 then runs as it should, you can add a permanent exception to the software which was interfering with it.
You should also make sure that Windows is fully updated, along with the Microsoft .NET Framework.
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi,
I did up date the Windows and turn off the Norton.
And nothing is happend.
Almost every click on contents or preview open this contents long or in minutes. I'm a little nervous about this. I don't know what else can i try to fix it?
Thanks for the help
Marek,
First reinstall x5, download from top right pulldown, next to your name and install this.
If there is still no luck repair or reinstall .net framework.

Hi again,
i did reinstall x5 - no change...
net framework is alredy a part of my operating sytem...
I really don't know how can i fix it now???
Best regards
PLease reinstall or repair .net framework, it can be damaged and this can cause this behavior.
Marek, please follow Andre's advise to rule out any problems caused by support libraries, but has anything changed with your PC setup?
Before proceeding (and especially if you are becoming concerned about WX5 stability), go to step 5 and export project to create an iwzip file (this will created a reliable and transferrable backup of your project and should be done often renaming as required). Never rely on the built in backup!
Please check that the folder you are working in is not included in the one-drive backup/synchronise group and also that you are not running any other backup/synchronising software. Can we assume the project is totally local (not through network, cloud or USB)?
If the slowdown has been a recent occurance (and you have not dramatically increased the size of your project with a large numbers of images, pages, etc) could you advise how old your hardware is? (my WX5 recently suffered occasional lengthy delays with various functionality, I was able to fix it by running chkdsk on a drive not even related to the project location on my PC).
You may perhaps also wish to advise if this always happens or only sometimes (perhaps after a change to the header or footer which requires regeneration of every page in the project?)

hi,
At the beginning i would like to thank you for your help...
I changed net framework according to the instructions (picture in the annex). And, today I worked about 1 hour without any problems. However, when I clicked content style - again the same problems, a long wait for opening each content. Sometimes while waiting for open the contents, i get this information - "updating responsive grid"
I checked my computer many times, switched off Norton etc. - no help. I also works with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, etc. and I don't have any similar problems.
I don't know what to do anymore...
have a good day
Have a look at these threads, Marek:

If you have empty cells in your page layouts then fill them with Objects as per the advice in those threads. The Objects themselves can be empty (without content).
