License activation required every time  en

Hello, I am new user. I installed the software with no problem and it runs correctly.

My problem is that everytime I run the software, it needs Admin credentials to verify (username/password) and then goes through the license activation process. It completes successfully but is a required processs every time.

Any ideas on this behavior?  Thanks in advance.

Hello Michael,

Welcome to WebSite X5!

Did you by any chance install WebSite X5 as an 'Administrator' in Windows, and are now trying to open WebSite X5 as a regular user?

It is best to both install and run WebSite X5 as an 'Administrator', with full access rights and privileges in Windows.  And you must use the same user account to open WebSite X5 as that which you used when installing the software.  Otherwise your licence details cannot be validated properly on starting the software.

If necessary you should uninstall then reinstall the program, bearing the above in mind.

Kind regards,

Paul

Thanks for the reply. Yes, installed as Administrator and now want to run "not" as Administrator. Even when I run as Administrator, it still prompts for activation. I will try reinstalling.

I was hoping to let the designer use my PC for using the program but don't really want to share my Administrator credentials or give them access to an account with Admin priviledges so this application may not work for me.

Thanks again.

I understand what you mean.

You might have success in copying the licence file from the admin path to the user path.  Elisa from Incomedia explains the procedure in the following thread:

Just be aware that in your own case the path will be slightly different, as I think you're using the Go version of WebSite X5?  So look for a subfolder named 'Go' in the AppData folder, as opposed to one named 'Evo'.
