Hi guys

I've just amended my privacy/cookies statement which is in a bar on my website.  it now reads  "This site uses cookies to enhance your visit, make it easier to navigate around the site and to collect statistics.  No personal information is collected or stored.  I make no other use of visitor's data, nor do I pass any vistior's data to anyone else.  Browsers can be set to delete cookies on close down".  I've added the "I make no other use of visitor's data, nor do I pass any vistior's data to anyone else." bit, that's all.  The banner reads OK in the preview, but not on my website.  The original text is still showing.

Is there a limit on the number of characters that you can use in the banner?  No mention of this on the software page.

Hello.
"The banner reads OK in the preview, but not on my website. The original text is still showing.":

1) Clear your browser cache. If that doesn't help, then 2 and 3.

2) Delete all site files from the hosting and re-upload it. Completely, not just changes.

3) Clear your browser cache.

"Is there a limit on the number of characters that you can use in the banner?" - As far as I know, no.

Thanks for this Aleksej.  I did re-load the page several times yesterday, but did not clear the cashe.

Today my website is showing the additional text!  I guess that after turning off my computer when I'd finished yesterday the cashe was cleared then.

What I forgot to mention before was that I converted the privacy bar to a box and my site did show the updated text straight away.  However, the box was on the LHS of the page and I couldn't see how (or if) is could be moved.
