FREEZE SINCE LAST UPDATE

Since last update everytime I work on website regardless where I am working the program freezes. Today I was placing a graphic in the advertising box and when I hit OK it froze. It has happened no less than 10 times in the past five days since I updated. What could be causing this issue?

Does it happens with every project or only with one?
Can you also try to start a new project to check if the same happens?
Have you tried to close all programs running in backgroun to see if this helps?
What Windows version are you using?

Happens in all projects. Windows 8.1. Have gone to task manager and closed or stopped all unnecessary programs. Scanned for malaware etc. None.

Please try to repair the .NET Frameworks to see if this helps to solve the freeze issue:
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off
Clear the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and then click on OK. Clear also the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and then click on OK.
After Windows disables the feature you will need to go back to re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and 4.5 and then click ok.
