Can we try version 11 without affecting Version 10?  en

1. I have great doubts that the new version 11 has much that is a worthwhile upgrade for my particular needs but note there is a free demo available which may persuade me it does have useful features tat I might benefit from. If I download and try the demo, will if affect my existing version 10 in any way, will it be a completely separate installation?

2. Another user passed comment on the comment on the introductory email offer re " To keep your licence from version 10" and asked what that meant. I don't think you answered satisfactorily. If we choose to keep version 10 and not upgrade, our licence for version 10 runs in perpetutity doesn't it?

Hi Tim!

I will try to answer you as clearly as possible:

1. You can download your demo version of the software from our website and test it. It will not affect your previous version 10 in anyway.

2. You do not have to upgrade if you don't want to of course. Your WebSite X5 Evolution 10 will continue working correctly as always anyway.

I hope this helps,

Samantha

Thank You.  I may risk it. If no problems arise then I'll be back to  tick 'correct'.

I do wish I had listened to my nagging thoughts about upgrading BEFORE I did so. No sooner than I had done so, and imported my saved sites, I find them wrecked by some wretched template that I had no control over. Now I guess I'm going to waste  hours rewriting everything.

Moral, if in doubt -don't upgrade.

Hi Tim,

you do not have to rebuild it.
Please open your version 10 then export your template from it. You will create a ''.iwtpl'' file. Once this has been done, open your version 11 and import it into Step 1 General Settings - Template Selection - Custom Library. After importing, hit ''ok'' then ''preview''.

From now onwards the template will become a part of your program. If you need to adjust it, you can do so in the ''Template Style'' section.

If the template was part of the template gallery in version 10, please duplicate it before you export it.
I hope this helps!

Samantha
