I have X5 10 Ev installed and just got X5 11 Ev installation package.
The installation procedure seems to run OK until the activation phase starts. Then I have to run as an administrator and enter product code, mail address and password to start the program.
The trouble is that each time I want to run the program, I first have to go through the activation process with full administrators priviliges each time I start the program.

Hello Thomas,
Verify if under C:\Users\ The Admin username \AppData\Local\Incomedia\ is present a folder called WebSite X5 v11 - Evolution and if inside this folder the licence.iwl file is present.
If this folder exists and inside the file is present, copy the folder and paste it under c:\Users\ Your Windows username \AppData\Local\Incomedia and then start the program.
Please keep me updated.

Hello
The method described by Claudio D seems quite complicated. Before I read about it, I found that the problem was that I was logged into Windows as an ordinary user. It did not help to start the Website Program as an administrator. I had to change my user profile to be administrator. Then I could enter the codes needed to register the Website program and start it. After that I could change my profile back to an ordinary user and start the program without any problem.
I think it is most urgent to modify the registration procedure to be much easier and straight forwared and not so complicated. There should also be clear instructions in each step of the procedure about which measures to take for get further along in the procedure.
For security reasons, it is a good practise to log in with administrators privileges only when it is absolutely necessary. If you do not have those privileges, Windows allows you to start a single application as an - temporary - administrator. However, this did not function for me when trying to register the Website program.

The X5 11 EV has worked OK since the measures above were taken. Now I have been promted to update it. However, when I try do do so, I am informed that this can not be done because my copy of the program ist not registered.
How do I do that?

Hello Thomas,
Try to verify if under \AppData\Local\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v11 - Evolution the licence.iwl file is present under the username you are using in windows. In case it is present under another user then you need to move the file in the correct user and then the program will be seen as registered and you can update.
Many thanks!

Hello Claudio,
I have already followed an advice and moved the licence.iwl file. To do this, I had to give my ordinary user administrator's privileges. It did not help to start the program as an administrator. Then it worked fine until I wanted to update the program. In your lates advice, you told med to move the same file again to yet a new folder, meaning that I had to go through the same procedure with the privileges. Now the program is updated to 11.0.1.12 on both computers and both work fine. I hope I will not have to face the same problems when updating it next time!
There is an obvious need for looking over the installation and upgrade procedure as well as the instructions. My configuration is quite common and it does not motivate all the complications I have had to go though.
