Have downloaded WebSite X5 home via Ashampoo, paid for product and received licence number, but when I try and run program, I only get the page extolling the virtues and properties of the program. I don't get the opening page as shown in the tutorial. Program is not functioning.

I have not yet been able to design a web page, and have no error messages. All I see when I start the program is the page that only show a list of things it can do, plus the video tutorial.

Hello John,
Can I ask you to check what screen resolution you are using?
There should be a button at the bottom right-hand corner of the WebSite X5 screen which you need to click on to progress further. However, it sounds as though this button is not visible for some reason. This can happen if you are using a low screen resolution, such as is found on some netbooks for example. You should be able to increase it though... right-click on your Windows desktop, or alternatively adjust the display through Windows Control Panel.
Let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,
Paul
I have the exact same problem! My resolution is at its highest: 1366x768. There is NO button at the bottom right-hand corner of the WebSite X5 screen. I have attached a photo of what my laptop shows me when I open the program. That is all I get and can get NO further. Please help. Thank you.
Hello Toni,
This is definitely a display issue... thanks for the screenshot.
Can you also check your font/text display size in Windows? This is accessible via the Control Panel - Appearance and Personalisation - Display - Make text and other items larger or smaller.
Please set to the default of 100% and see if the problem persists.
Also ensure the WebSite X5 window is maximised by clicking on the button to the left of the cross in the top-right corner.
Kind regards,
Paul
Nevermind. I figured it out already. For those of us who need larger text and such and have set our screens over 100% (mine was at 125%), the Start button WILL NOT show when you open WebSite 5X. Thus, in order to use the program, it MUST be set to 100% ONLY. That means that those of us whose sight isn't 20/20, and NEED larger text sizes, will have to squint when using the program or take off our glasses and shove our face up to the screen of our laptops. Thank you for NOT taking into consideration that there are people whose sight is not perfect. (That last sentence was sarcasm.) My migraines and eye-pains from having to do this, in order to use WebSite X5, will thank you later. (That sentence was also sarcasm.)
Incomedia - surely this is something that needs to be addressed? There have been a lot of messages on the forum in recent years where people can't see the start button and I am sure that it can't be that hard to sort out....how many other programs have this issue?
Hi Tony, Wayne,
I'm sorry about this, and thank you for warning us.
I have sent your request to our developers, we will see what we can do for you.

I too have now found the start button, but find it very hard to read the screen. When I tested the Evolution demo program. it opened straight away to the beginning page and at a resolution I can read. Otherwise its going to be extremely hard to do any work using the program. As another, comment your Answers page and trying to work around it is clumsy and confusing-not very intuitive, a page that allows users to directly contact support staff would be much better. John G. Hi!
We have added the ''start'' button into the page. Please choose the screen resolution you prefer and feel free to use your software now. You will find it in the bottom right corner of the start page.
I hope this helps,
Samantha
