Regarding the new Version 11. If I create a slide show, will you still be able to download the photo or email it as in earlier versions?

Thank you

I'm not sure how you mean that, because this is / was always possible, only offcource not at the same time / same pictue.

Why not try the demo and ee or yourself ?

Thanks for the reply. Yes it was always possible on older versions. I did install the demo and when you right click on a photo you have no options to download, save or email. In ver 11 there are no such options when you right click. It appears that the format may be flash?

or maybe the option is not available in a  "demo" version?

I want to be able to have my slide show photos downloadable. It Ver 11 does not have this then I will not upgrade.

Thanks so much for the rely. I was hoping that the techs at the company would answer this but have not received a reply from them.

Jim

Hello Jim,

Jim B.
It appears that the format may be flash?

Flash galleries were discontinued as of version 10.  The galleries are now HTML5 driven.

What browser are you using to test?  Do you have JavaScript enabled?  The galleries now make use of that too.

What happens when you right-click on the image?  Nothing?  Or do you get a pop-up alert of some sort?

Kind regards,

Paul

Images can be downloaded forever. If you choose to protect Html code you can not download with the right click also. Some slideshows using Flash if in release 9th.

Explain what kind Slideshow you want to use

Ok...

I upload .jpegs to site in old version 8 as slide-show. When I view page and right click I am offered many options including, "save picture", "print", "email". "Inspect element". Etc.

I also have version 9 which allowed you the option of photos---flash or html.

This new version 11 demo is installed and when I create the same website the new option for "slide-show" is "gallery". I upload the gallery using jpegs and the results are a decent slide-show. When I right click on a photo the only options I get are...next, back, reload, inspect element, copy, paste, cut. The last three options are disabled. There is no option to save, print or email like the old versions.

Just for info...these photos are of high school hockey games and the site is designed for the players and family to downlaod photos that I take at the games. I would like to upgrade to ver 11 because of all the other improvements but without the capabilty to download and save photos it will be useless for me.

Thanks for any help

I use MS Explorer.

html protect is disabled.

Hello Jim, are you using any browser add-ons or plug-ins in Internet Explorer?

Are you able to provide the URL to where you have uploaded the project so we can take a look and try to diagnose the cause of your problem?

Kind regards,

Paul

Thanks,

The demo does not allow you to upload project to server. I thought about that already. Perhaps when uploaded to server the desired option may appear? I doubt it. I created the same project using ver 8 and did not up load it. When I previewed in browser i get the desired optioned of "save, print, email, etc". Doing the same thing using the ver 11 demo I do not get the options.

I am not going to install the demo on my second desktop and see what happened. I will advise.

Thanks but how to I do that?

The demo ver 11 will not allopw me to upload to server. It will not allow me to save as web site to disk. Whwn I try to export or uload it requires me to purchase upgrade.

The only option I can see is to preview the project using the software browser???

Your example above is that Verson 11?  The control bar looks like an older verson?

Thanks

Thanks for your further comments, Jim, which has made all very clear now.  You will be pleased to know that there is no actual problem here.

The key lies in your comment:

Jim B.
I created the same project using ver 8 and did not up load it. When I previewed in browser i get the desired optioned of "save, print, email, etc". Doing the same thing using the ver 11 demo I do not get the options.

The built-in preview browser in version 8 was Internet Explorer.  In version 10 there was a change to Chromium, which acts slightly differently of course.

I have conducted some tests on one of my own projects which has a v10/11 gallery.  In the preview there are no right-click options to save, print, email.  Once published online however, the right-click performs fully as expected...  all options are present.

I have tested in Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox.

So all is well

Kind regards,

Paul

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me your work on this issue Paul...

I suspected this may be the answer (once published - all options will appear) but was unaware of the browsers intergrations? I really hoped to find someone who is actually using Ver11 to answer and you are the answer.

Thanks again....I will definitly be upgrading because of you...
