Hello.I have a similarproblem - http://answers.websitex5.com/post/94049 .

If you remove the objects the unused files should be them removed but without removing them it is not possible.
What you can try to do is or to export the project and then import it back or remove the objects, add another object on it and then add the content in it again so the old files should be no longer present.
