I just bought Website X5 Version 11 Professional and tried to install it on my brand new computer running windows 8.1 (64 bit)

At the end of the installation stage programme is asking me to install .Net 3.5 framework and when i try to install i get an error 0x800F0922. I try to enable the .Net framework from windows control panel but keep getting the same error. I haver .Net 4.5 installed on my system.

THis error is preventing me from installing and using my new Websitex5 Professional ver 11. I must add that other programms work perfectly on my new computer. On teh otehr hand I never had any problems with other older versions of Website X5. All I am looking for is a solution to be able to start using my new programme.

Pleaseee help. Thank you.

Hi K!

Please go to your Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off.
Clear the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and then click on OK. Clear also the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and then click on OK.
After Windows disables the feature you will need to go back to re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and 4.5 and then click ok.

Please let me know if you manage to install correctly after trying this.
Thank you,

Samantha

Dear Samantha,

Thank you for your response and apologies for not replying sooner.

The problem was that windows 8.1 was not letting me install Net framework 3.5. In fact I had tried your suggestion previous to your reply but still did not work for me.

The only way I could solve the problem is to refresh my Windows 8.1 which solved this problem immediately even if i had to reinstall all of my programmes again. Once .Net framework 3.5 was installed correctly there was absolutely no problem in installing Website X5.

Although this problem was windows 8.1 related and as such was not caused or was not due to any problem with Website X5, it was preventing me from installing and using your programme so it is in your interest to ensure that users at least have solutions that actually work if encountering problems during installations.

Thank you for your input and immediate response.
