Unable to connect to server

I have completed my first website using website x5 evolution 11. I have registered and activated my domain name (signsoftcorporation.com). When I try to export my website to the internet, I encounter the message, "Unable to connect to server. Please check with your internet provider that you have the correct connection information". In FTP Address I typed ftp.signsoftcorporation.com wherein signsoftcorporation.com is my domain name. I entered my username and password correctly. Where am I going wrong?

The ftp server name is a server that is send to you by your provider.
Please check if the ftp server is correct, it ussually is a name that has the provider name in it. And is accompanied by your user name and password (sometimes in 1 mail sometimes in several for security reasons.
So check the info you got from your provider .

You should not include the letters 'ftp' when typing your FTP Address into the field in Step 5.
So try this:
signsoftcorporation.com
instead of this:
ftp.signsoftcorporation.com
