Hi, On all the pages I've created the page title is displayed on the top of the browser window.

If you look at this page for example http://www.leaks.plumbing/edmonton-n9-plumber-in-edmonton.html you will see in bold letters the text below.

....... Gas safe registered plumber, Edmonton, N9, Edmonton N18,  Plumber, boiler, boilers, gas, safe, engineer, gas fire, leaks, flood, flooding, boiler repair, boiler installation, Boiler service, power flush, gas safety checks, landlords, tap repair. radiators, burst pipes, blocked drains.....

I do not want this text which is the page title page title displayed in the browser as it spoils the webpage and look unprofessional.

I need this type of title as i need to make sure google picks up these webpages.

I've attached the text as it appears in the browse window.

Could you please help, many thanks. Chris

Hello Chris,

Your pages contain hidden text (keyword stuffing), a 'black hat' SEO technique...  are you aware of that?

Your issue is related to these hidden keywords, but I strongly advise you not to publish your site as it is anyway, as you will be penalised by Google and other search engines for it.

The solution is to remove the hidden keywords, and concentrate on sound search engine optimisation techniques.

You can input search keywords correctly using the 'Website Keywords' field of the 'General' tab on each page's properties, and I see you have already done so.

The properties screen also allows you to set an 'Extended Page Title' for each page if you so wish, but be careful not to confuse this with keywords.

Page titles can be supressed in Step 1 General Settings > Template Style > Page Item > Page Title (deselect 'Visible' checkbox)

Kind regards,

Paul
