How to Undo changes to my project

I typed a 4 paragraph text after feeling inspired; I review the text and I was so proud of my self, so I saved it, but then, I overlap a picture on the text, and all my inspiration was lost.
I felt so frustrated when I could´t find an Undo botton that most programs do have. I thought of closing the project and not saving last changes, but the program had already saved the changes.
Is there a way to undo accidents like that one, other than retrieving a previous version from a backup?
NOTE: working on a PC WINDOS 7 32Bits, in Website X5 Professional.
Many Thanks

It could but it depends a little on how and that depends of the version you have.

EXTREMELY frustrating is the inability to undo changes and resize objects. I could swear I used to be able to do all of this with an early version of this software because using this version (11) is like pulling teeth. I don't recall having these issues. Even undoing a simple swap of a header logo image requires me to backout of my project and go back in, and if I'm lucky, the (too big or too small or off-center) header logo wasn't saved in the process.
I seem to have problems editing the basic templates until I realized that everything was located in the customization option. Mia culpa.
