Hi, I am using Evo v10.
Is there anyway I can create a more attractive login page? Something that looks like this?
http://designscrazed.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/register-form-with-login.jpg
I've tried to download the css file but do not know how to use it. I tried pasting under 'HTML CODE -> Expert -> CSS Code' but it does not work.
Attached is the ZIP file I downloaded.
I am a beginner at web design. Any info and help is really very much appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

Hello Shell,
At the moment it is not possible to have this feature in WebSite X5. I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.
The only way at the moment to create something like this is with use of custom html and css code. Also if I cannot give support to third party custom code, I can explain you how to add it in WebSite X5.
With your code it would be necessary to change all the code to adapt it to the one used by WebSite X5.
Many thanks!
Would it be possible to use a Welcome or Landing page and then insert the code or a widget?
See the user manual Shelley, it's under step 4 advanced setting.

Hi Claudio & Donald,
Thank you for replying to my post.
I am able to create a seperate log-in page and customize it to some extent.
The more attractive log in page I am referring to is the one users see when they click on a link to a page which has been locked. The default log-in page is very simple and I cannot customize the style of the log-in form e.g. limited font options, cannot change background color etc.
Donald - how and where do I insert the code? I have tried inserting the code under the tabs 'HTML CODE -> Expert -> CSS Code' but it does not work. Nothing appears. I will check out the manual again and see if I missed any instructions! Thank you!
Thank you again! Any more suggestions are 100% welcomed!

Hello Shell, one of the staff, moderators or seasoned users would better answer your question. Are you asking about inserting code in a template, welcome or landing page?
The following is a "shot in the dark" (peter sellers - elke sommer, 1964)
-------------------------------------------------
(A lot more info follows each of the titles.) From the users manual:
6.7 E-mail Form Object
When you are browsing the Internet, you often come across pages which display a form where you are asked for personal details. These forms can be a means of contact, to ask you to register to receive information, to access Members' Areas, or simply for surveys or market research.
6.14 HTML Code Object
WebSite X5 provides a specific object for each type of content matter that you w ant to add to a page: text, pictures, animation, e-mail forms, etc. And with the HTML Code Object object, the possibilities are practically unlimited. With this object, you can add HTML code directly to pages and thus include features that would otherwise have been impossible to use.
7.2 Welcome Page
HTML Code: if you choose HTML Code as the content Type, you enter the code here. The toolbar contains these tools:
(Way down) What is a Landing page? The Landing Page is the page a visitor "lands on" after clicking on a link or an advertising banner. It must be created so that the visitor immediately finds the information he wants, without having to navigate else where in the website. This concept can best be explained with an example: ..........that gives all the
7.8 Access Management
This window contains the commands for creating and managing the profile of users who have access to your website's Members' Area. Pages in the Members' Area are defined as Locked Pages when you are working on Sitemap Creation.
---------------------------------------------
It's always good to take a look though the user manual and help section once in a while with any software you're using. Also tutorials or video's. Hope you have your answer and page all set before this post. If not try to be a little more detailed if you need more help.
Thanks a lot! - Donald

Hello Shell,
You can override any styling which WebSite X5 applies to a page by using the !important keyword.
View the HTML source of the page which you wish to modify and identify the CSS element which you would like to change. You can then write your own CSS to alter the properties and values using the appropriate selector combined with the !important keyword.
Here is a useful article which explains the concept in a little more detail:
http://www.webcredible.com/blog-reports/web-dev/css-important.shtml
To add your own CSS go to the sitemap in Step 2... highlight the page in question and click on the 'Properties' button on the right... in the new screen which opens select the 'Expert' tab... you can then insert your CSS in the HEAD of your page. When your web page loads your custom CSS will override any X5 CSS as it carries more 'weight'. This is the method I use personally.
However, there are others... see this article for some ideas:

Hello Donald and Paul,
Thank you for responding! Appreciate thoroughly!
I am not familiar with coding, so I am trying any easy way possible.
If not, I do have to pick up the skill to alter the pages to my specifications!
I only wish that Inconmedia might consider adding this option to users like myself who are not so technically-able, so that we can improve the appearance of that particular function.
I will definitely study the manuals again and check out the links you have both provided.
I will update this thread if I manage to figure it out. Else, I might have to bypass the problem more creatively!
Thank you again!!!
Cheers,
