How can I change the background colour of a page that is aligned with a colour block of the main page? I'd like to create a webpage with several horizontal colour blocks which are aligned with the background. See the attached picture where the page is first in white (main and background), then changes to green (main and background), then again to white. I'd like to be able to create these page wide colour blocks. What is the easiest way to accomplish that in X5?

It's not possible to get blocks in the background alligned with blocks in the background of the site. ( that is with bigger blocks)

They shall always on a certain point be not equal to eachother in the horizontal allignement. This is caused by your explorer, everybody can make their screen smaller, and your explorer starts by yaking size from background until this is gone.

That's why it's easyest to use a pattern that is made with a small picture and in repeats creates some kind of pattern.

The heigth might be kept the same, but with blocks it stays a problem in the width area.

So stick to even colours or small pictures that create a pattern this gives the best result when using backgrounds.

me too (understand it right that is) :)

But yes a background that runs all the way is possible and even colours half way or a pattern for instance also.

Andre E, lemonsong,

Thanks.

What I am looking for is indeed blocks in the background of the page alligned with blocks in the background of the site. Most current/popular landingpages (especially those created with OptimizePress in wordpress) have these formats, where multiple blocks of background colours are defined that run across the entire horizontal length of the site. Not just at the top or bottom of the page (header / footer), but also at multiple locations in between.

What I would like to be able to do is create such pages in X5, where I define the background colour of any building blocks I drag 'n drop on the page, and have the same colour continue horizontally in the background at that same location.

Am I correct to understand that this is NOT possible during the creation process of any page?
