Social network object - blank screen

I'm trying to insert the social network object and link it to a Facebook page, but cannot get anything to appear.
This is the page I want to link to:
https://www.facebook.com/colleen.ellis.395?fref=ts
I've tried inserting this address into the Profile URL box both as it is and as:
http://www.facebook.com/colleen.ellis.395
I've tried inserting the HTML code supplied by Facebook.
I haven't altered any of the pre-sets.
Whatever I do, all I get is a blank space on the page.
What am I doing wrong, please?

Hello Anne,
It is not working since the content cannot be reached if you are not logged in on facebook. This plugin is for the fan pages and not personal profiles.
You need to create a fan page on facebook and then you can add the url to this fan page in the social plugin.
