I am using Website X5 Evolution 10.
I have Evolution 11, but when I first clicked on it it was all out of whack so I defaulted to v10 for the moment until I have time to sort out 11.
I have a shop set up on my website which works very well.
What I would like to do is create some pages with products listed pretty much the same was as the pages displayed on the shop pages, but without the add to cart option.
I can remove the qty field in Page creation/Page Cell/Products List Object/Settings, but it seems the only way I can remove the cart icom it to chang the image to a blank one, whcih would affect the whole site, including existing shop pages.
So is there a way to creat the same type of shop pages with a picture, description and price but without the ability to add to a cart?
The reason for this is that some of my products sell out very quickly and I don't want to have to email customers to tell them they can't have what they have ordered and perhaps paid for.
I'd rather them email me their order and then I can reply that way.

There is no option within the program, you can edit your page with html editor (after publishing your website) and remove the cart from the products you do not have anymore.
or
you can create your own product list and add your own shopping cart image to the products and link them to the cart (add to cart), so in that case you have the full control over your product.
Product List object is limitted and you can not do everything with it.

re: option 2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I replace the cart image that affects the site globally, meaning that all of the cart images would be replaced with say a blank image if I changed it to that? This means the existing shop in my site would not be able to be used?

yes, if you replace it to blank image, it will effect your entire website.
That was one of the reason that I spend more time for creating my website, but I did not use the Gallery List object!
check my website, www.wdesigners.us and go to print material or any other product and services.
That is how you can have full control over your items.

It's a shame - it would have been so easy to have a check box "show add to cart" just underneath "show price" in Products List Object
Guess I'll have to look at
1. editing a published page to remove the cart or
2. using images & text.
Downsides are
1. I'd have to edit the page every time I upload
2. After deleting sold out itmes I'd have to shuffle everything around so it looks asthetically pleasing.

Ended up creating a hidden price list to my website which I can provide a link for and uploading images to Facebook albums to cross reference.
Crazy that Website X5 can perform this very basic task adequately....
Martin, Shopping cart has not being changed much since v.9
Some ribbons and stickers + different payment gateways (mostly in pro version).
Hopfully we will see that feature in v.12
I suggest you to open and Idea post and let the developers know about your idea.
