Hi, I would like to set up an email form purely to gather consumers emails so I can grow my consumer email database. How do I do that?
Furthermore, in return for their email I wish to automatically send them a FREE copy of my tips & hints booklet when they submit their email address to me.
How do I set the system up so they are sent an automatic response email with a PDF file or word document attached?
Many thanks,

create a form and change the name of the botton fron send to sign up.
you can not attach a file to automatic respond, but instead you can send the link to download it!
upload your file to your host, and send the link to them inside your Automatic respond.
your autorespond in the confirmation section inside your Email form object/ send tab.

Ok thanks, how do I set up a database collection system to gather the emails from the signup? Also how do I upload the file into the host? I'm using A2 Hosting. Thanks for your help.
Hello Graeme,
In step 4 data management you fill the database section with the data you got from the hosting provider and then in the email form you choose to send the data to the database.
You can upload the file to the host with an external ftp client like filezilla.
Many thanks!

Hi in step 4 I have tried to accurately fill out the database settings tab but the site says it can't access the "db" when it is live, which I assume is the database? Can you please give me an example of the correct type of data I should be entering into the database settings tab (attached) so that my email address are collected into the databse that is stored with A2 hosting? The instructions both from Incomedia and A2 Hosting are not very clear to me. Many thanks for your assistance.
Hello Graeme,
The settings are different on everty hosting and depends on the settings the hostign used. The best way is to contact your hosting provider to ask for the host name, database name, unsername and password you need to use to connect to the database which is available with the hosting space.
Many thanks!
