Hoi Dirk,

Why create a link to your sitemap, it's only used for crawlers to index your site better.

So it's not neccessary, but if you wish you can edit in excel, save it at the same format and name, but be aware, your website might be difficult to scan for google and others that use the sitemap.

I advice you to let it be.

If you want to use a footer menu on your site, goto step4 styles and models, select footer menu, set it to on.

Groet, André

Dirk, if you change it manualy, it will roll back to the same when you update your website.

limit it inside your x5 program. for example if you do not want to have one of the pages, then go to sitemap creation> right click on the page, choose properties, and go to export tab, at the bottom, remove the check mark and it will be removed from your sitemap.xml

also for editing xml, you can use normal notepad, or get nopepad++ which is free to download. I never tried that with excel program, if you have excel already in your coputer, then worth trying it

Thank you so much for your reactions. I made a big mistake. Therefore it didn't work. I placed a html to my page. There i made a shortcut to my sitemap. That was it. Now it works fine.
