Web Page Created In WebsiteX5 Doesn't Look The Same Online  en

Hi, I hope someone can please help as I am very new to website design. The problem I have is as follows: I have a number of pages on the website that I am trying to create where I have the text and a picture positioned on the webpage side by side. I justify the text and make the length of the whole section of text the same height as the image beside it. So the top of the text is perfectly in line with the top of the image and the bottom of the text is perfectly in line with the bottom of the image.

I am happy with that as that is how it looks in WebsiteX5 when I preview it.

However, when viewed online in Firefox etc, the text always extends at least one line below the image beside it. No extra words have been added and each individual line reads the same. It just seems that somehow the spaces between the lines seem to appear slightly larger and, therefore, when the text gets to the bottom it appears to have descende below the image by the equivilent of an extra line.

Even if I shorten the text by one line to compensate for the problem - it still descends below the image.

This is very annoying as it happens on every instance where I have an image positioned on the webpage sise by side with text.

I have added a few screen grabs to this question to show what is happening. And also some screen grabs of the settings.

I also put a one line white border around the image and text just to emphasise the problem. The line will not appear in the actual website.

If anyone could shed any light on why this might be happening it would be most appreciated.

Thanks. Mike.

Hello Mike,

If the website is online can you please write me the link to see what exactly happens?

What font and font size did you use for the text?

Many thanks!
