Selling photographs using Website X5  en

Hi guys. I am after some suggestions as to how I can work around an issue.

I have a photography website and I would like to sell my images via my site. For example, I have just shot a wedding and I would like guests to be able to login to my website and purchase prints.

Can anyone suggest an easy way that I can create my listings so that visitors can see a thumbnail and be able to select size and quanity? Ideally, I don't want to have to create a product manually for each image as there will be over 300 images for this wedding in particular. Also, it is important that I get the name of the jpg sent to me as part of the order, otherwise, I would have no idea what image I am printing.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Joe

Hello Joe,

The program has not other options to create this faster. The only way is to create a product for every image in the program and then add the quality options on each one. You can also create one product and then export the CSV file and edit it with another program and once done import it again to have all the products but the images needs to be added from inside the program.

Many thanks!

Joe,

You could create a private page for your wedding guests to login to, where they can view the wedding thumbnails.

You will need to setup Access Management, by creating a group E.g. John & Janes Wedding - Add a "User" E.g. Wedding Guest - Add a "Password" E.g. Photos

You could then create a generic custom "E-mail Form", which is linked to from the thumbnail image page.

Within the custom "E-mail Form", you could add the fields:

Image Reference Number - The answer could be from a drop down list or could be manually filled in depending on which option you use.

Quantity - Could be a drop down list

Size & Price - Could be a drop down list.

Name

Address

Telephone number

etc etc

When the form gets submitted, you can select to be sent a copy of the inputed data, which could work as your order.

Joe,

Please note! I anticipate your potential clients will wish to purchase multiple images, and I would therefore propose you add multiple fields (Perhaps 10 Fields) for Image Reference Number, and let clients add a note to the message field if they wish to purchase more than 10 images. They can always add the additional items in the message field.

Regards,

PJ D.
