My website is www.mysticalstarsylph.com
My Feed does not validate. I get errors that I should fix, but I have no idea WHERE to fix them.
Where does the Feed live within Incomedia x5?
How do I go to the actual Feed to fix errors?
All (countless) posts online only refer to Wordpress Feeds, but my blog is within x5.

Hi JJ,
The error messages appear highlighted in yellow when I try to validate the Feed. It gives me the same result in separate sites.
Below is one where you can see them, as the feed is quite long I thought that if you don't mind you could enter my feed on this link and try to validate it.
http://validator.w3.org/feed/
and try my feed: http://mysticalstarsylph.com/blog/x5feed.xml
They give me the error messages but I have no idea where to go and fix them.
I know I can change the author name in General Options and in the blog, but the rest is totally foreign to me.
Thank you JJ!

Sorry JJ, I just realized that I can post the error messages and lines here, no need to post the entire feed. Please see below:
"This feed does not validate.
line 12, column 36:

Marta Ramirez
(14 occurrences) [help]^
In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.
line 136, column 1:

" [help]Below as they appear in the mentioned lines. Unfortunately I have no idea where to change it.
12.
Marta Ramirez

36.

Hello Marta,
The yellow marked parts are suggestions to improve the feed and to add the author for line 12 coumn 36 in the blog you need to open all the posts you wrote and change in all in the author field from your name with your email.
About the second it is not necessary to have this type of link. This cannot be changed manually since there is no option to add this function from inside the program.
Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,
Thank you for your reply, really appreciated.
This means that I won't be able to use Feedburner or MailChimp, because the feed will not validate with these "errors", so I am left with a blog without email notification, something that most bloggers use so easily.
It's so hard to know what to do when our blog program does not comply with these very common platforms, perhaps this is why most people use blogger or similar software.
Thank you again,
Marta
Hello Marta,
To make it validate you just need to change for every post as author Marta Ramirez with your email and then this feed will correctly validate as for this fields it requires the email instead of the name.
In the blog in step 4 open every single post and there you will find the field Author where you will need to add an email instead of the name.
Once done export the complete project online and proceed to validate it.
Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,
Well, I'm more confused, the link now validates but I get this message:
"Congratulations!
This is a valid RSS feed.
Recommendations
This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

***

^

^Source: http://mysticalstarsylph.com/blog/x5feed.xml"
So why the need to change my name to email address for it to validate and then asking me for a proper name? This is so confusing to me!
Hello Marta,
On following page it explains you how to add the email and name:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/warning/MissingRealName.html
It suggestes "Add a real name, or prefered pseudonym, after the email address, surrounded by parenthesis."
Many thanks!

Thank you Claudio, I'll do just that!

Hi Claudio,
Thank you so much for your help! I added my name in brackets after my email address and now the feed validates without that error.
I'm really grateful to you!!
You've already solved two of my problems, this is wonderful!
I'll close this question.
Kind regards,
Marta
