Hi all i have finished putting the website together and have run the Analyse and Optimise the Website, it finished and i have corrected some Alerts that popped up, i ran it again and the Website Optimization reads 100% with zero Errors Zero Alerts but in the Information Box i have 28 details listed mostly all (Object not Included in Site Map xml) and a few that tell me (The Picture File Is To BiG) with the position of the picture, does this mean the picture is to big in dimensions? or by file size.

As to the (Object not Included in Site Map xml) how can i fix this? As the Analyse and Optimise is reading 100% and green is that a go to upload the site to the server as in the preview everything is in place and is working. I have attached the Report.

Thanks in advance.

Colin,

I'm not sure on what size or width x5 reports, I keep my pictures at max width 1280 x 1280 the size is then about 500 kb.

for instance: Sometimes I check the file and leave it this also depends a bit on the visitors, do you expect a lot of mobile's to visit then it's probably more important to narrow down... but if your pictures suffers on gaining 200Kb well.....  It's a programmers decission as well, all that seo does is point it out.....

The first tab in the optimization should always be resolved. The second one is advisable but not strictly needed. the 3th tab is just extra information.

offcource handeling it all gives the best result, but sometimes I don't want pages to be added to the sitemap so this is not a mandatory thing. It's just information / reminder.

You can always upload your site, even with error's in the first tab, alerts !

How to solve? You get a a page and a position, well the page is the page, duh ... , the position is the posion of the object on that page so if the position is (3,2) then look at that page third row second object.

You can set it to sitemap by clicking on the object in the page and set then goto sitemap TAB, set it there on.

Google uses the sitemap to index your website information pages and objects.

So do you want google to use that picture? then also set title and caption (all in sitemap TAB) Is the picture not very intresting to be used by google for showing for visitors of for your site? Then you can not set it, again, your the websitecreator .....

Don't forget to use F1 in parts where you have questions, x5 internal help file is truly helpfull.

BR André
